Release Notes for WinRecs Version 2026.04

Release Date: July 9, 2026

The 2026.04 Fiscal Release includes 2026 Updated CIHI tables, fixes for reported issues as well as enhancements.

Important:

This release is cumulative only after the most recent WinRecs Update has been applied however the update must be applied on minimal version 2026.01 or greater.

Separate Clinic Lite submissions Hip and Knee Bundled Care vs Community Stroke Rehabilitation
Users can now create separate Clinic Lite submission files for Hip and Knee Bundled Care vs Community Stroke Rehabilitation.
The MIS code must be assigned either HIP and Knee Bundled Care or Community Stoke Rehab in the Submit Clinic Lite field in the MIS Code Look Up table.
In Submissions under Care Type for CL Lite the following two options are now available:
H-K - Hip and Knee Bundled Care
S=R - Community Stroke Rehab

IRRS Date Stay Began Update Sync
A change has been made to update the Date Stay Began as well as all of the other Patient & Encounter Record fields in linked assessments, when the value is changed in the parent admission assessment. These are now marked with a yellow square for Patient and blue square for Encounter. 
When the assessment loads, it will pull the values from the parent to sync Patient Fields and the parent encounter to sync encounter fields. If the patient/encounter field is enabled in the child assessment type (e.g. Responsible for Payment fields). Then it will NOT over right the value, if it's disabled, it will over right the value no matter what.
In addition, saving the child records, will sync the Patient/Encounter fields that are enabled, e.g. Change the Responsible for Payment fields and save a Routine Assessment, the First Assessment will now be updated to have the same field values.

IRRS Failed Submit List View not showing failed submissions

The IRRS Failed Submit List and IRRS Approve Submit ListViews will now show submissions by all users and not just the user logged in.

Three colored icons have been added to the 2nd box in the Main Grid for IRRS Assessments:
Green - Will be for all the fields used in the RUG calculation
Yellow - Will be for all the fields used in the Patient Record
Blue - Will be for all the fields used in the Encounter Record

IRRS Rejection: Date Stay Began after Last Day of Stay

Thefollowing error messages for IRRS have been added into WinRecs:

Date Stay Began is after Last Day of Stay
ReturnDate is after Last Day of Stay.

Program Start Date is afterProgram End Date.

Program End Date is afterLast Day of Stay.

Infection Control was not producing SE1 and SE2 RUG-III-plus categories - this has been corrected.

IRRS Submission Screen Filter on Previous Fails
When both View Failed and View Successful boxes were checked in the IRRS Submission History Viewer past fails that had been accepted were showing as Fail under Status. The past fails that have been accepted will no longer display as Fail.

An update has been made to properly submit the appropriate values  if iA6d (Province or Territory Issuing Healthcare Identification Number) = 1, then Health identification number (A5a) = 2 if the person is not a resident of Canada OR if the person is a resident of Canada and health services are paid for by the federal government.

For databases with only one hospital, when launching the purge module, the user will no longer be prompted to select a hospital.

IRRS: Assessment Reference Date and Next Assessment Date
New IRRS abstract being added in to the IRRS module will not default the Assessment Reference Date to 90 days if the Institution Profile setting is 0 days.  Not setting this default or leaving it blank will also treat this like a zero.  

If there is a default date in the Institution Profile setting then the system will input this data in to the IRRS abstract.
