Release Notes for WinRecs Version 300.0

Release Date: March 9, 2023
The 300.0.0 Fiscal Release includes 2023 CIHI Edit changes and Table updates.

This release is cumulative only after the most recent WinRecs Update has been applied however the update must be applied on minimal version 299.0.0 or greater.

For those sites with CMG and CACS Groupers, the 300.0.0 Release contains a Grouper Engine update. Fiscal 2023 DAD and NACRS Level 2/3 abstracts must be batch grouped prior to submitting 2023 Period 01 files to CIHI. A warning message indicating “No Grouper value…” will display should the record not be grouped with the current grouper year.

After all releases have been applied sites with CACS and/or CMG groupers should have all coders check to ensure they can see grouper values in the visits. For Citrix clients this should be confirmed on all Citrix IP addresses. If grouper values are not displaying on a workstation/s please go to ftp://ftp.med2020.ca/Winrecs2/Tools/ and download the file called regasm.zip. Extract the file to the desktop/s of the affected computer/s. Double click the file; a black window will flash, and the process is complete. This will register the grouper dll.

An EMT view called EMT_Edit_AND_Conditions_VR has been fixed.  This view lists all Edits and related Field and Logical Conditions.  Report is available to clients who have the EMT module.  Please contact MED2020 for this report.

AA1 Unique Registration Number Generates Date Created
CCRS Clients can now choose the format for Element AA1 Unique Registration Number.  A new field has been added to the Institution Profile called "Format Unique Registration Identifier(AA1)" and sites can choose between the following formats:
  • Create Date - Institution + Create Date + Sequence Number - This will be the default in the Institution Profile and is how URI is currently created.
  • Admission Date - Institution + Admission Date + Sequence Number - This option will use the admission date as part of the URI rather than Date Created.

Flagged Intervention Category Missing for Ventilation Cases
When ventilation intervention codes "1GZ31CA*","1GZ31CR*"or "1GZ31GP*" were entered the Flagged Intervention Category was not being assigned in the Flagged Intervention Category field in the intervention multiform and did not display on Crystal reports. This issue has been resolved and the value will now display.

Interface Intervention Location Not Retaining with 3M Codefinder
When intervention location was populated by the interface and the user went into 3M Codefinder and changed the intervention code, when they loaded the codes back into WinRecs the Intervention Location value was not retained.  This issue has now been resolved.

Saved NRS abstracts were opening in edit mode which resulted in being prompted with: "Do you wish to save this record?".  This issue has now been resolved and will open in read-only mode until changes have been made within the assessment.
